Guiding Our Work

We anchor our efforts in five "Change Leadership" strategic goals, designed to build a more inclusive and thriving campus community:
*Refine recruitment, retention, and evaluation processes for faculty and staff to enhance diverse representation. *Deepen integration of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility & Belonging (DEIAB) into campus culture, curricula, and services. *Develop personalized staff learning pathways to sustain DEIAB-driven change across all departments.
*Address systemic barriers to faculty and staff retention, with targeted support for underrepresented groups.
*Cultivate connection opportunities between campus members and external diverse communities, including Colorado and California local organizations.


Land Acknowledgment

The lands where our campuses stand are the unceded territories of the Cheyenne, Arapaho, and Ute nations—peoples with deep historical ties to the Colorado and California regions. Descendants of these nations continue to uphold traditional stewardship practices and heal from historical traumas, and we honor their enduring connection to these lands through ongoing partnerships and respect for their sovereignty.
