UC City’s College System: Where Big-University Resources Meet Small-College Personalization

UC City stands as a globally renowned private research institution, yet our unique college system transforms our distinguished campus into a collection of intimate, supportive communities. Every undergraduate and graduate student is affiliated with one of our 18 specialized colleges—granting you the personalized attention, tight-knit connections, and focused academic culture of a premier liberal arts college, paired with the world-class research facilities, interdisciplinary opportunities, and exclusive industry partnerships that define top-tier private universities.

No two colleges at UC City are identical—each carries its own academic identity, signature programs, and community traditions—and we take pride in how this diversity enriches our campus. As core academic units, every college designs tailored general education curricula aligned with its thematic focus (e.g., hands-on innovation in engineering, ethical leadership in public affairs) and offers exclusive experiential learning opportunities, from fieldwork in environmental science to client projects with Fortune 500 partners. Beyond academics, each college serves as your "home base": dedicated advisors who know your goals intimately, peer mentorship programs, and curated social events that foster lifelong connections and professional networks.

Key Advantage: Freedom to Pursue Your Passion Across Colleges

A defining strength of our college system is unrestricted access to majors across the university. Whether you’re enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences but dream of majoring in computer science (housed in the School of Computing), or a Business School student eager to pursue a minor in environmental policy (offered by the School of Environment)—our cross-college enrollment policy lets you blend interests without boundaries. Our advisors specialize in helping students craft interdisciplinary paths, such as pairing biology (College of Agriculture and Life Sciences) with public health (School of Public Health) or architecture (College of Architecture) with digital design (College of Fine Arts).
